It's the first double digit run! A 10 miler. The group met an hour earlier than usual, as the runs are getting longer now. We took an easy out and back route on the Greenway with three folks to "herd" us and keep everyone in the right direction. Among the three was Steve my old coach from last year's half training.
I started off slow and steady and in the back. After only three miles, I past Mo and stayed ahead of her the rest of the time. We had water and gels at the 4 mile mark (also the 6 mile mark on the way back). I took water at 4, water and half a gel at 6, and water again at mile 9(ish).
It was hot (90s when I finished) and humid. The Greenway isn't very hilly, but I did stop and walk a few of the little hills. I have one blister, but nothing major. Overall, it felt good. My total time was around 2:10.
